OS or Application Server Clustering

I am new to cluster, there are cluster configurations coming with Windows /Unix/linux servers, what is the relations with jboss cluster ?

If I am using Jboss cluster, do I need the OS cluster ? if yes, how do I use them together ?

No you don't need an OS cluster to use JBoss clustering.
