Need help with JBoss 4.0.1 clustering configuration!

Hello,

...I am new to JBoss clustering...

I am trying to test my JSF component in clustered environment but I couldn't configure JBoss properly. First of all I have an exception (see http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=60167).

Is there a step by step configuration on how to configure JBoss clustering? For instance I don't understand how one JBoss instance can handle requests instead of another JBoss instance if it goes down. Is there a kind of proxy server? Please help me!

Are these topics covered better in advanced documentation (for which I need to pay).

In JBoss 4.0 Documentation there are 4 paragraphs devoted to clustering :(. I think it's almost nothing for such topic as Clustering.

You can look here for a how-to clustering document that I created which is HASingleton specific. There are all of the basics of clustering included, you just have to pay attention to what steps are HASingleton specific and skip those.

Actually on second look that document is almost entirely about HASingletons running in a cluster. Better to look in the getting started guides or here http://www.onjava.com/pub/a/onjava/2002/07/10/jboss.html?page=1

The documentation is sparse but in the end basic clustering with JBoss is very simple, so it doesn't take too much to explain it.

Hi,
I have been working on Jboss clustering from past few day's. Have configured as per the document on jboss-4.0.1RC2 clustering with 2 nodes and apache and mod_jk as proxy.
The load balancing is working fine, but when 1 node goes down the clients are directed to the node 2 but they have to login again, which states that session replication is not happening. Any pointer's as to what could be the problem??

In jbossweb-tomcat50.sar/server.xml you can try add (uncomment) the following lines:
