port redirect

hi,

i am using single machine multiple instance approach.i would like to know how port redirct will happen in this approach?that means,from port 8080 one can easily redirect to another port 8180 without any interruption.

i am able to run my war file in 8080,8180,8280,8380 port Parallel but not able to redirct from one port(eg,8080) to another port if ctrl+c is applied in port(eg,8080).

In this situation you need some sort of load ballancer in front of the JBoss instances to forward the requests.

Apache with mod_jk supports this.
