open the panelbaritem what i want in panelbar?

hi everyone,

Like in the title, i dont want to open always the first baritem in panelbar. In the api of panelbaritem, there is a method called setExpanded, but expended property doesn't exist in tld. I tried also value binding. but it seems like the panelbaritem opened by me is closed by Richface to open the first panelbaritem.


there is anyway to solve this issue?

I already saw the JIRA entry. I just want to ask, if it would be possible to rather solve this problem. I would like to use this component as a menu - I have added a snaphot and a possible source code example.

We have a rich:panelMenu in our TODO list. It has the same functionality that you want to use rich:panelBar for

3.1 - beginning of May. However, I cannot confirm right now that panelMenu will be there. A lot of other important tasks ahead also.

Is there any news on when panelBar might have this extra functionality? Or if the panelMenu is underway?

From the looks of things in JIRA, a 3.1 release looks to be quite some time off. Is that right?
