1. Re: How to clustering jboss
morphy Jul 2, 2008 5:41 AM (in response to massimiliano.serafino)hi
this is the guide i'm using to introduce the argument:
http://docs.jboss.com/jbossas/guides/clusteringguide/r2/en/pdf/jboss4-clustering.pdf
as far as i've understood you have to create a cluster of jboss nodes in the same LAN using the 'all' configuration, then you have to configure a balancer like modjk in httpd which uses the 1099 port to contact the nodes (and that's why you can turn off http connector of the nodes if you do not need to reach them directly)
read the previous pdf... lot's of usefull informations are in it... -

massimiliano.serafino Jul 2, 2008 5:55 AM (in response to massimiliano.serafino)Hi,
Thank you for your response.
I've added you to my contact in messenger :)
A question: is there a module for doing clustering in JBOSS application? That is: the only way to do clustering is use modjk of Apache?
Best regards.

rafaelliu Jul 2, 2008 10:19 AM (in response to massimiliano.serafino)Actually JBoss Clustering takes care of replication. mod_jk would take care of LB and both together would provide HA. It wouldn't make sense if JBoss were the front end, it would be a SPOF and would be in the cluster.
