I have the same question. I have directly asked Floyd but he doesn't know. Does anyone have tested this?
Thanks,

2. Re: EJBLocalHomeFactory
sgturner Sep 28, 2002 3:54 PM (in response to cpmcda01)Here is a related question. The reason why we worry about a home factory is because getting a jndi context and getting a reference from the jndi context are expensive operations - time consuming. We have a factory to cache our home interfaces. But how time consuming is it when the jndi is co located to the caller code as compared to when the jndi is not co located to the caller code. I can see wanting to have a factory when its no co located, but is it worth the trouble when its all co located in same Jvm ??
