      The JBoss Support Engineer Position

      JBoss' vision for delivering Professional Open Source to the enterprise is dependent on our ability to deliver these services profitably and with a high degree of customer satisfaction.

      As evidenced by the above positioning, the role of a JBoss Support Engineer is critical ? they must be a JBoss expert but also have the support and service skills necessary to successfully manage a wide variety of customer situations.

      The successful candidate will be comfortable being labeled as a ?J2EE expert? today, even if they have not necessarily been previously employed specifically as a support engineer.


      Required Skills and Experience

      -5+ years of professional work experience
      -3+ years Java/J2EE experience
      -In-depth knowledge of the J2EE platform
      -In-depth knowledge of at least one enterprise Application Server
      -preferably JBoss, but WebLogic and WebSphere experience will also be considered
      -Proven ability and willingness to learn new open source middleware technologies.
      -Strong customer service skills
      -Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German


      Preferred Skills and Experience

      -Knowledge of Apache web server
      -Knowledge of Hibernate and Tomcat
      -Ability to deal with change and limited structure
      -Must be highly motivated, self-sufficient, perceptive, ambitious, flexible and high energy


      Location

      This particular position will be based in the JBoss?s European Headquarters in Neuchatel, Switzerland.
