Where is GateIn ?

Hello !

I do not know why, but just the gatein for tomcat is working, the gatein for jboss does not work !

When i try access the http://localhost:8080/portal on GateIn jboss version, the address does not exist ! (just on tomcat version)

Please, check the files that I used :

--> GateIn 3.0.0 Beta1 with JBoss AS 5.1.0 (tar.gz)
--> GateIn 3.0.0 Beta1 with Tomcat 6.0.20 (tar.gz)

Have I todo something more on jboss version ?

I have just retested it with a fresh GateIn (but on Windows)
http://localhost:8080/portal
should forward to
http://localhost:8080/portal/public/classic/
which surely exists.

Try to open the complete address.

Is http://localhost:8080 even working for you?

Look at the console for errors and paste it for us.

first of all, thanks for your reply guys.

Let me explain what my question..

In download page, there are available to download only these files :

1) GateIn 3.0.0 Beta1 with JBoss AS 5.1.0 (zip) 173 MB
2) GateIn 3.0.0 Beta1 with JBoss AS 5.1.0 (tar.gz) 172 MB
3) GateIn 3.0.0 Beta1 with Tomcat 6.0.20 (zip) 56 MB
4) GateIn 3.0.0 Beta1 with Tomcat 6.0.20 (tar.gz) 55 MB

Ok ...

My question is:
Is it necessary install the (3 or 4) or just the (1 or 2) ?
Because when i run the jboss in my computer, the portal does not load, because the portal is not there (inside of gatein jboss tar.gz). No portal files, no wars, nothing....

What did you do to run the GateIn using just the JBoss File ? (Did you try it ?)

Each package is an independent standalone GateIn server.

Just extract them and run the respective script:
- Tomcat: bin/gatein.sh
- JBoss: bin/run.sh

I found my problem ( big mistake ), maybe because i am really excited to see the gatein on jboss. :)

There was a JBOSS_HOME setted in my enviroment... and that one really does not had the gatein. :)

I created a symbolic link to the rigth jboss (w/ gatein), and pufff!!! works !
