TSS is making me sick

Is anyone else getting really sick of all the FUD being spread on TSS? Everytime something about JBoss comes up it's FUD, FUD, FUD. It really reminds me of all the FUD that was spread about Linux on Slashdot in past years. Which really seems to be at a minimum now. Which to me reaffirms that JBoss is the right place to be! I remember seeing a great Gandhi quote posted on Slashdot in refence to Linux, a lot in past years. I think it applies to where JBoss is now:

First they ignore you,

then they fight you,
then you win.


I just wish TSS had Slashdot type moderation so that I could set my threshold at 4 and never seen a damn Rolf post again. Anyone want to implement Slashcode and start a new TSS where Trolls automatically post at -1? How about we call it TheBetterSide?

Really, it's just a tiny minority on the TSS that act like three-year olds. I doubt they have much effect on the silent majority. The JBoss download numbers prove that :-)

People hear the noise, they download the server out of curiosity, they see it is a good and solid product. Download numbers this and last month are in record highs.

If I was paranoid I could say this all is a big plot they made up to fight JBoss. If I was ... then again there is that saying that served me well in the past: "Be paranoid !" ;-)

I just wish TSS was a place where actual intelligent conversations could be held. For instance, I browse SlashDot at +4 and read the comments more than the articles because I learn so much from them. I wish the same could be said for TSS.

bullshit, you need to browse at -1 on /. that is where the truly good stuff is. In fact I wish there was a -1/0 window so that I don't see the posts that supposedly "make sense", god forbid.

Really I find the funniest stuff at -1 and the most insightful ones at zero by ACs

Noise is good in that it does something of advertising.. what better advertising can JBoss get than unfactual fanatical baseless attacks :)


You may notice that each time Sun attacks RedHat inthe same manner that RedHat has the saem attitued as JBoss .. noise is good as long as the download number sincreease..
