    Jboss AOP

I do not know where to ask this, so pleaase move the post if it needs it..

I am lookinginto using or integrating JBoss into a yet to be spec'd Mobile Game Server for Mobile devices..

Rickard's post(on TSS) about tracing objects created under JBoss AOP has sparked a question..

I know at this point I do not know enough about all the AOP issues to take Rickard's post at face value:

      1. JDK1.5 tiger changes the way jvm operates in so not multiple jvm instances in alot of cases which would reduce object creation concerns..

      2. How these AOP objects created through such things as Interceptor stacks are optimized for speed..

and thus tracing the objects created doesn't really answer any questions and may be a false symptom n fact as far as performance....

Is there some additonal materieals that I can obtain as far as background reading and analysis/exploring to bring me uptodate on some of the JBoss AOP internals in addition to my starting exploration of the JBoss code source?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions..

I do not expect to be somewhat coding on gameGo(Mobile Game server) until spring 2004..but wanted to get some ground work done now as far as updating my knowledge and skills to prepare for that effort..and yes as far as I know it will be open source..

If you scroll down the forums page a little, you will find a development section and an AOP forum there. This discussion belongs to that forum.
