i have an
1.j2ee application running on win2k with jboss3.2.1+tomcat
2.hardware config: p4, 512MB memory
3.JVM heap size set to 256MB
4.j2ee app uses XA datasource, uses JMS
5.virtual memory set to 756MB on win2k
i observe that the virtual memory keeps increasing, but never falls down. where as the physical memory behaves properly.
at one point the Virtual memory goes beyond limit & hangs the server.
y does virtual memory keeps increasing??
does this indicate a memory leak?
