    Local optimizations and transactions

    juang

I'm porting my application from JBoss 3.0.7, to JBoss 3.2.3. I'm also changing the configuration of my application from "CMPs with TX Required" to "CMPs with TX Supports and read-only getters".
This new configuration is running very slow in comparison to the old one. After some debugging, I found out that there is a new big overhead on method calls between my CMPs (through their local interface). Then, I changed the configuration to "CMPs with TX Required and read-only getters" and the new configuration got faster than the old one.

My conclusion is that local optimizations are not working when there is no transaction associated to the call. Can this be true?

      Thanks,

      Juan
