    Why JBoss.NET and not JBoss

    khjuan

      Hi,

I'm new to JBoss and J2EE, and basically everything to do with the other side of M$ world. I would like to know the differences between JBoss.NET and JBoss-3.0.3. Can I use JBoss-3.0.3 (with Tomcat) and intergrate them with AXIS 1.0?

      Regards,
      Juan

JBoss.Net is just a plugin. You can't use it without jboss but it integrate axis for you to jboss :-)

Thanks. Can I just use AXIS without JBoss.NET? I believe there are already threads talking about this topic, but I just couldn't understand them. The learning curve is *extremely* steep for me. I picked up some related java technologies and some open source projects for the past two months, and *really* need help.

            Thx,
            Juan

I have seen some threads about this too. I believe you can do this but it is fairly involved. Jboss.net in CVS is already upgraded to use Axis RC1.0.
