    SOAP in JBoss 3.0.4

    vm500

      Hello all,

How far has the Axis support progressed up to JBoss 3.0.4? Can anyone tell me what version of Axis is in JBoss 3.0.4? It seems to me like its a really out of date version. So is it possible to not use JBoss.NET at all, and instead use straight Axis 1.0 and deploy it as a web app? That way, we can start using web services right now and not wait for JBoss 4.0. I guess when 4.0 is released it will hopefully have the latest version of Axis integrated.

By the way, JBoss is a great J2EE server. After trying Sun ONE 7, I realized that JBoss is so much faster. For one thing, it doesn't take up 300 MB of RAM! And, you get advanced features like Clustering.
      Keep up the good work.

      Thanks,
      Vinu.

The version of Axis in CVS is RC1, I believe. But if you do get it from CVS(jboss-head), the version of Jboss you get will likely be Jboss-4.0Alpha. I have seen some postings in this forum about deploying Axis 1.0 as a webapp in Jboss3.0 without using jboss.net.
