soap and axis

I have a soap client(mainly a servlet) that needs to talk to a axis server. I know the soap protocol is the same but in terms of code, are there any examples for doing this, soap -> axis server. Or can this be done at all?

There are no specific examples for your scenario. However, there are a few Axis examples on the different service styles. Have a look at http://ws.apache.org/axis/java/user-guide.html, particularly on the service styles. The most raw, document would definitely work but involves more custom processing. It depends how tightly you bind your data to the service.
