Specify data source connection

Hi, I'm new to JBOSS. I have an app with EJBs needed to connect to an Oracle database. What is the config files I should have and where should I put them? In the Quick Start guide, it seems I need create oracle-xa-ds.xml file and modify login-config.xml file. But in some messages posted here, it seems I need create oracle-service.xml and/or ra.xml file.

Also, where should I put those files? In <app_root>, <app_root>/ejb, or <app_root>/ejb/META-INFO?

I'm not sure if Quick Start guide deliberately lacks or messes up the database settings. But for me it seems it does.

Which version of JBoss are you using? The files required changed for a recent version.

If you look in the {jboss_home}\docs\examples\jca folder you should find some examples appropriate for the version of JBoss that you are using.

I'm using Jboss 3.2.1. I found the jca examples but just don't know where I should put those files and the file name conventions.
