Oracle8, JCA and JMS

Hi, we are currently using Oracle8 and I need to do something like the following:
1. An event happens inside Oracle -> perhaps going
to the Oracle AdvanceQueue.
2. I want JBoss to be notified through a push model,
maybe by Oracle sending a message, rather than
polling.

My question: Is it possible to do this ? Especially
with Oracle8, ours is 8.0.5.

Yes, you need a receiver on the queue

Thanks Adrian, can you give me any pointers on how to do this ? Do I need to write my own resource adapter ? I would actually like an MDB to listen to the Oracle AQ. There's questions like this on the Oracle ( OTN ) board but there were no takers.

Sorry, I've never tried to integrate Oracle's JMS with JBoss.

The easiest solution is to bind Oracle's JNDI objects for
ConnectionFactory/Queue/Topic into JBoss's jndi.

A resource adapter won't help you until JCA1.5 in j2ee1.4
