2. Re: JCA Local Transaction demarciation over EJB container ma
interrom Apr 1, 2004 5:05 AM (in response to interrom)I have a add on.
I analyze the source of jboss and ifound this part of source,
which throws the IllegalStateException in the org.jboss.resource.connectionmanager.TxConnectionManager.TxConnectionEventListener/** * * @param param1 <description> */ public void localTransactionStarted(ConnectionEvent ce) { if (currentTx != null) // the javax.transaction.Transaction instance { throw new IllegalStateException("Attempt to start local transaction while xa transaction is active!"); } // end of if () }
why is it not allowed to start a local transaction when you hava a Instance of javax.transaction.Transaction.
If I have really understand the transaction handling, it is the case that a XA transaction demarciates a transaction with the local one.
So I don't understand the behaviour of jboss.
Best Regards

3. Re: JCA Local Transaction demarciation over EJB container ma
adrian.brock Apr 1, 2004 7:19 AM (in response to interrom)This is a bug. It should not be reporting errors for local transactions started
by the application server.
