Getting error Duplicate component id in tree

I am trying to use rich faces tree control on websphere 6.0, The tree gets painted correctly. But on trying to expand the tree(submitType=ajax) I keep getting error
SRVE0026E: [Servlet Error]-[Faces Servlet]: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Doppelte Komponenten-ID 'form:menuTree:_id2' in Ansicht gefunden.
(German locale- means duplicate component id 'form:menuTree:_id2' is found).

When I download the tree demo and try to run I get same behaviour.

Can anyone please help me with this
