I've been trying to do the same, using the example as posted above as the roadmap and it seems that I always get the local copy of the MBean, never the master.
Has anyone else had simular problems, and if so, how did you fix it?

Everything else is almost byte for byte in the example given. (Only the names have been changed to protect the innocent)
