1. Re: Failed running interest example with JBoss3.0
evansrob Jul 10, 2002 5:19 AM (in response to snff)copying interest.jar to
jboss-3.0.0RC3_tomcat-4.0.3\catalina\lib does the trick. You also need to subsequently add missing jar files to build.xml, for example, jnet.jar, jboss-common-client.jar and log4j.jar. But copying the jar file to this other location was the break-through. -

dwightsmith Jul 31, 2002 6:11 PM (in response to snff)this trick didn't seem to work for me. Is there something else that needs to be done? Re-compiling, re-deploying? Do those files need to be added to the build before it will work?
Thanks -

dwightsmith Jul 31, 2002 7:15 PM (in response to snff)I found this information in another thread. It got me past the NameNotFound problem. However I have another problem with a class not being found.
Sorry about the formatting, this helped. Especially the changing deployment directory.
To be able to run the 'interest example' I needed to change the /documentation-example/examples/org/jboss/docs/interest/build.xml file so that it
deploys the jar to /server/default/deploy. And I also needed to add three more jars to
the classpath defined in the /documentation-example/examples/build/build.xml file:
There have been quite a few people running into this problem; including myself. -

joelvogt Jul 31, 2002 7:56 PM (in response to snff)Generally you shouldn't be putting any jars in catalina/lib. This will probably cause a lot more problems then it will solve
