JBoss and Tomcat configuration

Hi, I'm currently using the JBoss3.0/Tomcat4.x bundle. I need help with configuring a new context in the tomcat4-service.xml file. Here's what I want done, I want to create a context for "/", so whenever I have my browser goto the url "http://localhost", Tomcat uses an archive I've specified.

Used to be with just Tomcat4.x, I would just have to modify the server.xml file by adding a new Context sub-element, "<Context path="/" docBase="MyWar">", inside the Host element. My assumption was I could do the same thing to with the Host element inside tomcat4-service.xml, but I get the "No Context configured to process this request" error.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

BTW, I'm able to build and run a web-app, ie create a war file and copy it into the $JBOSS_HOME/server/default/deploy directory. The URL "http://localhost/MyApp" would work, but I'd like to know how to set it up so "http://localhost" would use the same web-app.

Did some digging and figured it out. If you guys are having trouble, Jboss3.0 RC has a good example of how to get it done.

Easiest way to do this is to package your WAR up into an EAR file, and within the EAR's application.xml, specify your WAR with a context root of /

e.g.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>


<display-name>MyApp</display-name>


<web-uri>MyApp.war</web-uri>
<context-root>/</context-root>
