    JBoss in 'Appliance' Applications

Is anybody using JBoss in 'appliance' applications?

By 'appliance' applications I mean an application that is easy to install, is secure, and doesn't take much management by the end user.

JBoss is a good development environment, but I have talked to a few MIS managers that are dead set against allowing 'rogue' J2EE servers on their networks. They feel that the management of a J2EE server for a turnkey application should not be necessary, and feel that it is too easy for a user to 'customize' the application.
Also, they cringe when they hear about JMX remote management.

yes it works fine. There are just a few things you need to automate, like making sure it runs up if it is stopped and things like that.
If they don't like JMX management, then just turn it off. (undeploy it).
