configuring the hsqldb

I have downloaded hsqldb 1.7.1 and would like to set up a server from the hsqldb bin, then get jboss connect to the server that is running... but I seem to be having trouble finding all of the place that need to be touched, to get jboss to see the 1.7.1 version, and to get jboss to connect to the port... I've tried both 9001 (seems to be in use) and 1476... The basic documentation doesn't seem to cover it... or I'm searching for the wrong terms.

Also I don't like jboss putting the database files in the jboss bin, but have not seen a away to configure a different directory of the standalone database files.

Any help would be appriciated. a/glm

Tell me what version of JBoss you're using. Integrated jetty or Tomcat?

If I know, I'll figure it out.

I'm using jBoss30 integrated w/ Tomcat4x. I see a disscusion over in the database configuration fourm regarding the incompatibility of jBoss and hsql 1.7.1, it that might be my problem... Thanks

Right. Check the driver class name. They differ from 1.7.1 and JBoss' version.
