1. Re: Is there an internationalization (i18n) plan?
juha Dec 3, 2002 12:51 PM (in response to mshue)there hasn't been active discussion.
the verifier would be easiest to internationalize first -
2. Re: Is there an internationalization (i18n) plan?
minamoto Dec 3, 2002 9:15 PM (in response to mshue)I have localized the JBoss 3.2 verifier message as a try.
It was very simple and fun for me.

But I found that exception messages are hardcoded and scattered in modules.

4. Re: Is there an internationalization (i18n) plan?
mshue Dec 3, 2002 11:35 PM (in response to mshue)Is there sufficient demand out there for i18n to warrant an active discussion on the matter? It seems like a very worthwhile project and I would guess there are many folks who want this. Comments?

mshue Jan 2, 2003 10:38 AM (in response to mshue)Is there ANYONE interested in this topic? Has someone been assigned the planning for this already? Happy New Year!

6. Re: Is there an internationalization (i18n) plan?
juhalindfors Jan 7, 2003 3:33 AM (in response to mshue)No one has been assigned for it. It doesn't seem to have huge demand going for it but since it is open source, if you feel like fixing it, go ahead.
Jboss-dev list reaches probably more active developers. However, chances are they still ignore most discussions involving i18n and only notice if/when you break something in their code ;-) -
7. Re: Is there an internationalization (i18n) plan?
juhalindfors Jan 7, 2003 3:35 AM (in response to mshue)FWIW, if you want a place to start, I don't mind if someone internationalizes the JMX base (which is the base for the server as well). There has been zero effort done for this so all exception messages are hardcoded in english. And I have only so much energy for shouting matches.

liemmn Jul 27, 2004 3:16 PM (in response to mshue)Does JBoss at least work in a foreign environment, such as Japanese? I am not talking about localizability/localization.
