which jar file defines javax.ejb?

Does any one which jar file in J2SDK contains the definition of javax.ejb package? Do I need to install the j2sdkee version to get it?

The jboss-j2ee.jar in the client directory of your jboss install.

I also found out that under the same jboss client folder, the jbossall-client.jar also contains the same javax.ejb class definitons as in jboss-j2ee.jar. why the duplication?

you can use jbossall-client.jar (+ log4j-boot.jar) on your client instead of adding all the jars separately

thanks a lot the tip: You don't have to install J2EE, the classes needed are also in /client/jboss-j2ee.jar
