Does anyone know how TreeDataLocator works

I see that there is an attributed for treeDataLocator but know information about how it works or what it does. I'm still trying to figure out how to get a reference to the underlying EJB that implements TreeNode when a nodeSelectionEvent is fired. It's very unintuitive on how to get a reference to the treeNode so I can cast it to my bean class.

It doesn't. There appears to be a JIRA ticket to hide this attribute so I don't think we should use it. Maybe that's why it's completely undocumented.
