Datasources not accessable outside of JBoss container? Canno

I received a VERY helpful reply in my previous post that indicates datasources in JBOSS are ONLY accessible inside the container...and not from a standalone java app doing a Context.lookup...

Surely this is not true....neither websphere or weblogic have this limitation...

Any confirmations/objections are appreciated..

Sorry for the noise everyone - found the answere way back in the datasource forum archives...

...unfortunately no datasources allowed outside of jboss jvm..my curiousity is peaked however since all the commercial JVM's support datasource access outside the container....
