Principal/Role from Scheduler?

I'm using a Scheduler as a 'cron-job' to do daily maintenance. I'm currently doing this in the DB without any EJB involved. Now I want to use an EJB for this - but how do I set up the Principal/Role from the scheduler code? It's probably something simple, but I just cannot figure it out.
Please, can anyone point me in the right direction on where I can read about this?

use a normal JAAS (or jboss SecurityAssociation) login as you would with any stand alone Java client trying to access a secured EJB.

JBoss Admin book covers this, and most other JBoss security specific articles/tutorials that show client login to an EJB.
