running tomcat

Hi, I'm a new user trying to run some sample EJBs.

I downloaded
jboss-3.0.4_tomcat-4.1.12
and ran the script run.bat

Isn't this enough to run tomcat? I tried
http://localhost:8080 but I didn't see the expected home page.
Are there conf files that I have to modify to run JBoss with Tomcat?

There is no root-context for the embedded Tomcat. That doesn't mean that Tomcat is not running. Try http://localhost:8080/jmx-console. If you include your own WAR, you should be able to access it as well.
