Simple java server page

Hmm, with a jboss/tomcat3.21 configuration, is it true I cannot run my simple jsp pages,(pages that I dont intend to run j2ee with). I am using the jboss/tomcat install and they work, but it seems a little complex to deploy an app when I just want to print the date on the server from a jsp page.

It is even simpler than that, I just go to the $JBOSS_HOME/server/default/deploy and
create a directory called test.war and then
place the WEB directory and the xml files and then the jsp file and I am good to go.
