manually trigger suggestionbox

Hi,

How can I manually trigger a suggestionbox to call its suggestionAction and open the suggestion list. For example, when a user clicks the input text of clicks an image..

Hi!

I'm facing the same issue.
The goal is that another action than "suggestAction" of the suggestionbox should perform the search manually triggered (e.g. a button) and as a result of the request the suggestionbox should be displayed.

But until now I didn't managed to get it working. I tried using the "data" attribute of the suggestion box, but it won't be rendered.
Didn't anyone else had the same problem an got it working?

I am in the same situation with you. I tried using javascript to trigger onkeyup, onkeydown, onkeypress of inputbox. that does not work. anyone has a ieda?
