Feature Request: Customizable triggers for rich:suggestionbo

I'd like to attach a rich:suggestionbox to a textarea, however, I don't want it triggered onkeypress but only when a particular string is found in the textarea content.

Imagine you type into a textarea such as this forum message body. If you type some special characters (markup, tag, whatever), for example "This should trigger a suggestion [=>" a suggestionbox pops up and lets me complete to "[=>suggestionResult]".

In case this isn't clear, this is how I'd like to define the trigger:
