I am running JBoss 4.0.1 and Java SDK 1.5, the JBoss server works fine, and I can see the page on http://localhost:8080. However, when I clicked the "JBoss Web Console" link, the applet on the left frame takes forever to load, and it never worked. I have waited 20+ minutes at one time.
I thought it might be a JDK problem, so I tried JDK 1.4.2. Nope, didn't help. Then I downloaded JBoss 4.0.0. Nope, still the same thing. I tried a combination of JBoss 4.0.0, 4.0.1, and JDK 1.4.2, 1.5. Did get anywhere.
I tried both IE and FireFox and got the same symptom. These two browsers can run other Java applets correctly, and I tested that.
What could be the problem?
