JBoss 4.0 jmx-console freezes after 1 hour of load testing.

Hello,

We're in the process of evaluating JBOSS for production use. We've just install JBoss 4.0 on a new linux machine and converted one of our old applications from iPlanet 6.0 to run on jboss.

Everything was going good until we started testing the application under load with a load testing app. After about 40 minutes the jmx-console stops working. Can anyone help us figure out why this happens?


I've noticed that the memory creeps up to about 100m short of the 512m maximum I've set for the server. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it but I thought I would mention it.


Any suggestions or help is much appreciated considdering that this would be a showstopper in deciding whether we considder moving to JBoss.

What does 'stops working' mean? What happens to your app when the console 'stops working'?

What I mean by stops working is that I refresh the page and the browser sits there waiting for a response but never gets one. The odd thing is that the our app still works.
