Hide a JNDI subcontext from remote clients

    nlmarco

      Hello *,

could someone please tell me whether JNDI can differentiate between a local and a remote access? I tested to lookup a resource adapter factory from a remote client and it failed with a NameNotFoundException. Hence, I assume, it is somehow possible to hide objects which are bound in JNDI from the public (but make them available locally). Is that correct?

If yes, how I can configure this for a whole subcontext (and its children). Could someone please give me a hint or an URL to a howto?

      Thanks a lot in advance!

      Happy easter!

      Marco ;-)
