1. Re: JBossIDE Trail - How do I package and deploy the client
kidjava Oct 28, 2005 5:57 PM (in response to kidjava)Actually it's running but I get:
org.jboss.proxy.ejb.EJBMetaDataImpl (no security manager: RMI class loader disabled )
I tried:
if( System.getSecurityManager() == null ) {
System.setSecurityManager( new RMISecurityManager() )
}
but it's not working.
Any suggestions? -

guitoon Nov 2, 2005 10:58 AM (in response to kidjava)I've got a problem similar to yours.
I did the tutorial and by following it step by step, I ran my own application with a servlet. What i wanna do now is replacing the doPost method of the servlet by a "main" in a regular client, in which i could all the business methods.
How can i do that ? What configuration do i need for the client ?
Any help would be great -
3. Re: JBossIDE Trail - How do I package and deploy the client
kidjava Nov 3, 2005 2:50 PM (in response to kidjava)when running the client add jbossall-client.jar to the classpath. Mine works with that.
I really feel the Trailblazer is incomplete though. In the source the have a java client, but in the trailblazer they don't show you how to impliment it. That's half ass. -
4. Re: JBossIDE Trail - How do I package and deploy the client
kidjava Nov 3, 2005 2:51 PM (in response to kidjava)Oh yeah the rmi secrurity manager stuff has nothing to do with it, I removed all that bunk.

5. Re: JBossIDE Trail - How do I package and deploy the client
kidjava Nov 3, 2005 3:03 PM (in response to kidjava)One last note. Just adding the jbossall-client.jar to the classpath worked, but I got log4j message warnings when running.
I then juilt a client.jar and included the jbossall-clients.jar in that. Then when I ran packaging and ran the app it ran clean. -

7. Re: JBossIDE Trail - How do I package and deploy the client
guitoon Nov 7, 2005 5:26 AM (in response to kidjava)well, i've got the expected log4j problem :
log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger (org.jboss.security.SecurityAssociation).
log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly.
So i packaged the client with the good jar and my .class files, but i still have the problem. Is it due to the security manager ? Where can i find it, is it in the jbossall-client.jar ?
Thanks in advance -

jaikiran Nov 7, 2005 5:30 AM (in response to kidjava)Have a look at:
http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=56688
In brief, you will have to have a log4j.xml or log4j.properties in the client classpath -
9. Re: JBossIDE Trail - How do I package and deploy the client
guitoon Nov 7, 2005 7:58 AM (in response to kidjava)i'm not sure it is a problem of remote client. I added my log4j.xml file but it still doesn't work.
It may be more a problem of security, as kidJava said.
Any idea ? -
10. Re: JBossIDE Trail - How do I package and deploy the client
jaikiran Nov 7, 2005 8:10 AM (in response to kidjava)log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger (org.jboss.security.SecurityAssociation).
log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly.
This certainly means that the log4j.xml is NOT found in the classpath."guitoon" wrote:

Where did you add it?
