jaikiran Oct 22, 2006 4:03 AM (in response to edwinmtriana)Though your topic's title mentions that you want to upload the file from a standalone client, the post contents dont specifically mention more details about it. Do you want to upload from a standalone client or do you want to do it from a jsp/servlet? If it's the latter, have a look at:

edwinmtriana Oct 22, 2006 10:41 PM (in response to edwinmtriana)Thanks for you response Jaikiran.
About the question, I want to upload the file from a standalone client. I have two modules, a ejb-module and web-module and I want to upload image files to the Jboss server to process the images and save the information in a mysql database.
I don't know if I can use a session bean (ejb-module) to connect the standalone client with the jboss server and I neither know how to save the image in the server. -

jaikiran Oct 22, 2006 11:29 PM (in response to edwinmtriana)How about this:

The above article provides a step by step explanation about what has to be done to upload a file from the java client. You will need HttpClient and FileUpload libraries for this. You can find them here:

wolfgangknauf Oct 29, 2009 7:24 AM (in response to edwinmtriana)Hi,
please create a new thread, and avoid "asap", as it will reduce the willingness to help ;-).
Do you want to dynamically upload images to the server, or do you want to serve static content?
For dynamic upload, the basic questions should be answered. Static content has to be placed in some directory in your web app.
