peterj Dec 11, 2006 11:16 AM (in response to carlosdelfino)I am tempted to answer this question but alas, while I am conversant in Java, the question you are asking is about English, in which I am not as conversant. :-)
Typically in English, appending the word 'full' to another word requires that you drop one of the l's (as in successful), whereas when you append the word 'less' to another word, you keep both s's (as in hopeless). And yes, knowing these all of these nitpicky little rules is hopeless. -
