problem with jboss console

Am unable to bring up the jboss console. I have been using weblogic. Is there a way to deploy applications/configure conn pools etc using jboss console.

When I goto the following url:http://localhost:8080/web-console/
A screen pulls up, but the left pane is always blank.
Is there something I am doing wrong, or is something from the installation missing.

The best way to deploy applications is to copy them to the server/xxx/deploy directory. The best way to configure connection pools is to edit the *-ds.xml files. You can use the web console do the above (at least I think you can, I have never done it), but when you restart the server you will lose all of your modifications.

To get web console working, see http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=96755. While that post is regarding 5.0, if I remember correctly, the same 'fix' works for 4.0.5.
