1. Re: Can't start JBOSS AS 4.2.2 GA (with windows xp JDL 1.5.0
jaikiran Nov 8, 2007 11:22 PM (in response to anthony43)The run.bat is present in the bin folder of the JBoss installation folder. So you should "cd" to the bin folder and run the command:
D:\jboss_inst\bin\run.bat
And if it still does not run after this, please post the exact output, as shown on the console, of the following command here:echo %JAVA_HOME%
and noting happens...
just a blank line !!!
Do you mean that the run.bat does nothing and just terminates? Or does it hang? -

anthony43 Nov 9, 2007 3:21 AM (in response to anthony43)Hi Jakiran, and thank you for answering !
This is the exact output I get from the cmd console :
D:\java_apps\jboss\jboss-4.2.2.GA\bin>echo %JAVA_HOME%
C:\Java\jdk1.5.0_13;C:\Java\jdk1.5.0_13\jre\bin
D:\java_apps\jboss\jboss-4.2.2.GA\bin>echo %JAVA_HOME%
C:\Java\jdk1.5.0_13;C:\Java\jdk1.5.0_13\jre\bin
D:\java_apps\jboss\jboss-4.2.2.GA\bin>run
D:\java_apps\jboss\jboss-4.2.2.GA\bin>
SO yes, it just terminates when I run run.bat ...
What do you think it means ?
Thnaks again ! -

The JAVA_HOME has been incorrectly set. It should be just C:\Java\jdk1.5.0_13
Use the following to set it rightset JAVA_HOME=C:\Java\jdk1.5.0_13
and then run the bat fileD:\java_apps\jboss\jboss-4.2.2.GA\bin>run.bat
