Where Should I Put External .jars?

I am developing a servlet application using Eclipse for JBoss.

This servlet must access external .jars.

Where is the best place to put these external jars?

In the WAR file?

In one of the common directories to Jboss?

Place them in the war file, in the WEB-INF/lib directory.

I opened my application .war file, and dropped all the external jars into the WEB-INF\lib directory and it worked.


I'm using Eclipse, so I wonder how I could set this up to happen in my build environment so that every time I build the .war it doesn't overwrite the \lib directory?

You can create un build.xml with make the your war correct.
