Persist rich extendeddatatable state

Hi,

I am wondering if there's some way to persist and restore the current state of a rich extendeddatatable.

For example, if I remove a column from the table on the UI after it loads, is there some way I can save this state so that the next time I load the page it doesnt show the column I removed?

I looked at the documentation and didn't get any pointers.
It's be great if someone could give me a quick example or point me to a demo app.

Hi priestex

There isn't any problem to save the state of the table with the tableState property.

But when extendedtable is rerendered, I have a problem : the tableState isn't refreshed and isn't reloaded.

Looked at the issue you pointed out but I still dont understand how to implement the tablestate.

I'd appreciate if you could give me sample code that does this and I will try see if I get the same problem as you.

I'd be happy to vote on the bug if I can replicate is as well.

Hey,

I implemented the table state and it works perfectly for me.
I am using the latest GA version of rich faces. Maybe updating to the latest version will resolve the problem for you too.

Let me know if you need me to post my code, but its pretty much the same as what you have written here

The problem is only with ajax requests when extendeddatatable is rerendered.

tableState attribute is not called :(.
