i'm using jboss-3.0.4.
what is wrong?

It means you haven't deployed all the required beans: you should start again as described in the book.

Apparently, you are running the Ant script but the jar is not getting copied into the JBoss deployment directory. So copy the titan.jar file into your ${JBOSS_HOME}\server\default\deploy directory.

Even I had faced the same problem.

My understanding is that: when you use the 'lookup()' method, make sure the argument of this method is matching the JNDI name in the deployment descriptor: <jndi-name>. Of course your bean (the jar file) should be copied into the "deploy" directory as well.
