JBoss 3.x auto gen primary key?

I'm working through O'Reilly JBoss 3.x workbook and I've reached example 6_3. It says at the time of writeing JBoss 3.x (beta) could not handle auto generation of a primary key. Has this been resolved? Can JBoss 3.x now auto generate a primary key? If so, is there updated code for this example?

yes, primary key generation is in now 3.2 (I don't think it is in 3.0 though). Nevertheless, we wouldn't want to use them for the workbook as it would make the example no more have predictable ID.
