1. Re: Update objectweb tests to the latest version
adrian.brock Nov 16, 2005 12:16 PM (in response to adrian.brock)We should also look at
1) Consolidating and separating the JBossMQ and JBossMess
specific test cases such that
* Most of the tests are shared
* Implementation specific tests are isolated
2) The MDB and JMS usage inside the other JBossAS tests can be more easily plugged
and rerun with different JMS implementations. -

As far as JBoss Messaging is concerned, org.jboss.test.messaging.jms is relatively "Messaging" agnostic, in that it tests the JMS API, so it could be consolidated with MQ's JMS tests. There are sub-packages like "managed" and "persistence" that need to be relocated, since they test Messaging-specific stuff.
org.jboss.test.messaging.core is entirely Messaging-specific. -
4. Re: Update objectweb tests to the latest version
ovidiu.feodorov Nov 16, 2005 1:36 PM (in response to adrian.brock)I'll take a look at the MQ tests to see how many of them can be shared.

Probably not many. They just weren't written with this in mind. -
6. Re: Update objectweb tests to the latest version
adrian.brock Nov 17, 2005 11:49 PM (in response to adrian.brock)The new objectweb tests are in head.
The mechanism to get the test source is linked to in JIRA.
JBossMess need to rewrite the
org.jboss.test.jbossmq.JBossMQAdmin
org.jboss.test.jbossmq.test.JBossMQJoramUnitTestCase
I think we really need to create our own Admin abstraction
and make org.jboss.test.AbstractAdmin use it rather than using the Joram interface. -
7. Re: Update objectweb tests to the latest version
adrian.brock Nov 17, 2005 11:51 PM (in response to adrian.brock)NOTE: I cheated on the connectionfactory construction.
It just creates an alias in JNDI. -

ovidiu.feodorov Nov 18, 2005 7:21 PM (in response to adrian.brock)Added a new Messaging JIRA issue: http://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBMESSAGING-185
The mechanism to get the test source is linked to in JIRA.
Where exactly?
