1. Re: build broken in 0.5?
spagop Jun 27, 2009 7:53 AM (in response to cboettcher)Please try to use jdk 5, because for the DNA development we use JDK 5.
Bests. -

cboettcher Jun 27, 2009 11:34 PM (in response to cboettcher)Ah, much obliged. Just for future reference, could you refer me to where this information is available--I don't want to waste your time with questions that could better be answered were I to read documentation.
Cheers,

3. Re: build broken in 0.5?
rhauch Jun 28, 2009 1:18 AM (in response to cboettcher)The information about the development environment and how to build is found in Part I of our Reference Guide (see http://www.jboss.org/file-access/default/members/dna/freezone/docs/0.5/manuals/reference/html/development-tools.html).

4. Re: build broken in 0.5?
bcarothers Jun 29, 2009 10:49 AM (in response to cboettcher)Although I'm happy to see that the workarounds... worked around, something else is going on here. I do a mvn clean install 3-4x/week on the Sun 1.6.0_12 JVM without running into that problem.
Could you please confirm that extensions/dna-web-jcr-rest-war/src/main/webapp/WEB-INF/web.xml exists? That is the OOTB web.xml for the REST server and has a lot of non-default settings that are needed for the REST server to work correctly.
Thanks! -
5. Re: build broken in 0.5?
cboettcher Jun 29, 2009 12:17 PM (in response to cboettcher)The file...
jboss-dna-0.5\extensions\dna-web-jcr-rest-war\src\main\webapp\WEB-INF\web.xml
...does indeed exist in the distributed source. -
6. Re: build broken in 0.5?
bcarothers Jun 29, 2009 5:27 PM (in response to cboettcher)I do not understand why Maven gave you that error (missing web.xml) then. I've been building with 2.0.9. I'll try installing 2.1.0 and see if that breaks anything here. A missing archetype maybe?
