Dependencies maintained in two places??

Our project dependencies are defined in build-thirdparty.xml.

However in the repository e.g. http://repository.jboss.com/jboss/messaging/1.2.0.GA/component-info.xml

Another set of dependencies are maintained.

Does anyone know what relationship (if any) these two files have to one another.

Is there any reason component-info.xml has less dependencies in it than build-thirdparty.xml?

Is it up to the project to make sure these two files are always synched (currently they are not)?

I don't know for jbm, but in general build-thirdparty.xml includes other dependencies that are part of the testsuite or optional features, but does not replicate the dependencies that top-level repository component-info.xml have.
