1. Re: Eclipse code formatter and code cleanup profiles
timfox Sep 17, 2008 4:38 AM (in response to timfox)I have actually moved this now to trunk/ide-settings/eclipse so it doesn't clog up trunk.
Andy - if you can put your intellij profiles in trunk/ide-settings/intellij that would be good -
2. Re: Eclipse code formatter and code cleanup profiles
timfox Sep 17, 2008 5:08 AM (in response to timfox)The eclipse auto format will automatically make sure finally is being used, unused private methods are removed, unnecessary casts removed, old style loops converted to new style loops etc, so it's worth while running it against your code.

clebert.suconic Sep 17, 2008 9:55 AM (in response to timfox)I was wondering how to apply these settings until Jeff gave me a quick help:
"Jeff@freenode#jbossmessaging" wrote:
jmesnil: clebert: in the project folder, right-click on "Properties"
jmesnil: clebert: Java Code Style > Clean Up > import...
jmesnil: clebert: Java Code Style > Formatter > import... -
4. Re: Eclipse code formatter and code cleanup profiles
clebert.suconic Sep 17, 2008 2:18 PM (in response to timfox)I'm committing code templates as well.
To correctly parse ${user} everybody needs to:
Define -Duser.name=(your-user) in your eclipse.ini
My eclipse.ini is defined as-showsplash org.eclipse.platform -vmargs -d64 -Dosgi.requiredJavaVersion=1.5 -XX:MaxPermSize=512m -Xms512m -Xmx2048m -Duser.name=<a href="mailto:clebert.suconic@jboss.org">Clebert Suconic</a>
And it works fine. -
