Hi,
I wanted to know what would be the advantages or disadvantages of having a single cache for all different types of data being stored in a cache versus having a seperate tree cache instance of each type of objects stored in the cache in the production environment. To explain my question in detail...
what is the advantage or disadvantage of having thousands of nodes under /A/1 and under /A/2 instead of having two tree cache instances /1 and /2. I know /1 and /2 would need two configuration files versus /A needing just one. my question is more about performance results and eviction timer tasks.
Thanks in advance for your reply,

If the data are independent, then there is really not that much different except the overhead in starting JBossCache instances. Of course, you will need two different look up for the cache instance as well.
